Obituary For Charles Ray McAfee

Charles Ray "Tree" McAfee, 56, passed Sunday, March 29, 2020 in Jefferson Parish in Louisiana. Graveside Services will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2020 from Donald Rest Cemetery in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. - 11:45 A.M. from Beck Funeral Home Chapel in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Ray "Tree " McAfee was born on April 3, 1963 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi to Mattie R Lowery McAfee and the late Gaddis G. McAfee. Charles departed life on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at West Jefferson Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Tree grew up in Philadelphia, Mississippi where he attended Philadelphia Public School. Tree loved playing sports he played both High School and College levels. While in high school he played basketball and football. He went on to play football at Ole Miss and Mississippi College.

Charles attended Steven Chapel U.M. Church where he accepted Christ as his personal Savior while growing up in Philadelphia. He later rededicated his life to Christ and joined Christian Life Family Church in Gretna, Louisiana.

Charles will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He leaves to cherish his many memories. The love of his life Jiahna McAfee, hos loving wife Traci Babin both of New Orleans. His loving Mother Mattie McAfee. Five sisters Dorine (Michael) Sims, of Phila, MS. Beverly ( Milton) Noblin of Forest, MS, Gail ( Barry) Martin, Ruby Jean ( J.B.) Brazzle and Deborah Henson of Phila., MS. Five brothers Fred McAfee of New Orleans, Cleveland ( Bettey) ,McAfee, Gaddis McAfee of Phila., MS, J.W. Parker of Atlanta, GA and Curlee Cornors of Phila., MS. One aunt Mary McAfee of Columbia South Carolina.

His many Friends, Nieces, and Nephews whom he loved very much.

He is preceeded in death by his father Gaddis McAfee, his sisters Jane McGee, Teala Gill, and Mary Ann Nichols.

Funeral Homes have been advised to keep visitations, funerals, and memorial services to the smallest gathering of immediate family members only. Please keep these families in your prayers. and may God bless us all. ONLY 10 PERSONS MAY ATTEND, BASED ON GOVERNOR'S ORDER.
