Dexter R. Holmes, Sr.

Dexter R.  Holmes, Sr., 57, of Louisville, MS., passed on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Saint Dominic Hospital, Jackson, MS. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 3, 2026  at 1:00  p. m. at  Beck Funeral Home, 226 North St., Louisville, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery, Louisville, MS. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville in charge of arrangements.

Dexter was born December 7, 1968 to his mother, Willie Holmes and his dad, Walter Coleman, Jr. in Winston County Mississippi.

Dexter was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Dr. Lewis Harris, his dad, Walter Coleman, Jr. and his grandparents.

Dexter is survived by his son, Dexter R. Holmes, Jr; mother, Willie Harris; siblings, Tessie Holmes, Dionne Harris, Shalawnda Harris Ewuzie (Emeka), and Kristen Harris; his fiancee, Renee McDougle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and family.
