James "Jamie" Isaac Day , 50, of Philadelphia, Mississippi, passed on Monday 18, 2025, from Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  James "Jamie " Isacc Day was also know as "Slack".  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 23, 2025 from Goodway M.B. Church in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in Donald Rest Cemetery in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Visitation will be held 12:00 P.M -  12:40 P.M. Saturday, August 23, 2025 from Goodway M.B. Church in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of all arrangements. 

James is survived by his mother Mrs. Ella (George) Welsh.  His children: one daughter; Ja'mia Day, three sons; Austin Elijah Day, Kendrick Day and Derrick Day all of Philadelphia, MS; three grandchildren; one sister: Flora Pickins of North Carolina; five brothers: Authur (Patricia) Burnside of California, Mark (Vanessa) Burnside of Orlando Florida, Jonthan Day of Philadelphia, MS, Hercheal (Marquetta) Jr. Talley of Hattiesburg, MS. and Herman (Adell) Talley of Orlando, Florida; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
