Jim Walter Moore, 87, of Ackerman, Mississippi, passed on Friday, October 23, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital, Jackson, MS. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Beck Funeral Home, 226 North St., Louisville, MS. Visitation will be Friday from 4 util 6 p.m., from the Weir Location at 4860 MS. Hwy. 12, Weir, MS.  Burial will be in the Elkhorn  Cemetery, Kilmichael, Mississippi.

Mr. Moore was born January 17, 1939 to the parents of Charlie and Heneritta Gray Moore in Choctaw County Mississippi

Mr. Moore was a U S Army Veteran. 

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Heneritta Moore; son, Zschiedrick Moore; siblings, Ollie Mae Francis, Clara Clark, Gennie V. Strickland, Irene Shumaker and, George Wilbert Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Effie Mae Moore; children, Vennis Riley (Mary), Cynthia Walker (John), and Latresa Robinson (Stanley); 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Helen Hannah, Terry Moore (Jenette) and Gary Esters ( Johnny); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and family.
