Thursday, August 24, 2023 from Friendship Baptist Church in Gholson, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Gholson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held 9:30 A.M. - 10:50 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2023 from Friendship Baptist Church in Gholson, Mississippi. Beck Funeral Home Dekalb is in charge of all arrangements.

Johnny is survived by his daughter, Vertonia McCune of Philadelphia, Mississippi, his son, Johnny Rush of Dekalb, Mississippi, sisters, Martha Hammock, Ruby Sanders, and Bessie Gale, all of Dekalb, Mississippi, a brother, Donell Sanders of Dekalb, Mississippi, ans a host of nieces and nephews.
