Joseph Lyon

Joseph Lyon, 80, of Philadelphia, MS., passed on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his residence. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11 a.m., from Mount Ary M. B. Church, Philadelphia, MS. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Mr. Lyon will be reposed in the Church on Friday, one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home of Philadelphia in charge of arrangement.

Mr. Joseph Lyon leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn of Philadelphia, MS; his only daughter, Jolynn Lyon of Jackson, MS; two sons, Jeffrey Lyon of Philadelphia, MS; Jonathan Lyon of Louisville, MS; four sisters, Selma Wilson of Clinton, MS;; Birdie (Eddie) McNeil of Madsion, MS; Shirley ( John) Oatis of Atlanta, GA; Linda Young of Philadelphia, MS; two brothers, Billy Lyon and Edward Lyon , both of Philadelphia, MS; ; five grandchildren, Ryan ( Whitney) Lyon of Louisville, MS; Catherine (Eddie) Thompson, of Mobile, AL; Alexis Lyon of Louisville, MS; Justin Hannah of Jackson, MS; Alexandria Geter of Madison, MS; and eight great-grandchildren; Hannah, Naomi, Abigail, Nathan, L.J., Caleb, Ethan, Isaiah, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
