Kenetria Carter, 43. of Union, Mississippi passed on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2024, from Pleasant Valley M.B. Church in Union, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2024, from Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia.  beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of all arrangements.

Kenetria “Niki” Nicole Carter was born on October 18, 1980, in Pascagoula, MS to Deborah Carter

and Clyde Mims. She confessed Christ at an early age as a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary

Baptist Church. Niki was a lifelong resident of Union, MS, and a 1999 graduate of Neshoba Central

High School.

Prior to Niki’s illnesses she was a Certified Nursing Assistance for 23 years, working with Hilltop

Manor (Union, MS) and Choctaw Residential Center (Philadelphia, MS). Being the hard worker Niki

was and having a love for children, she decided in conjunction with her CNA work she gave6 years to

with the Steppingstone learning Daycare Center (Philadelphia, MS). Niki is also a member of the

Order of Eastern Star Morgan Chapter #510 under the leadership of worthy Matron Deborah Carter.

Niki was a beautiful person inside and out. Always caring and ready to lend a helping hand whenever

she could. She was always encouraging to her family and friends especially her 3 beautiful children that

she loved with everything within. Always pushing them to be their greatest. She was a wonderful and

very proud mother, daughter, sister, family member and friend. Everyone knew how much she loved her

family, but that never stopped her from extending her heart to everyone. She will be remembered best

by her kindness, giving and encouraging spirit by many.

Niki was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Edna Carter, Tina Carter and Jimmie and

Carrie Mims.

On June 26, 2024, Niki went home to be with her heavenly father. She leaves to cherish her memories

her Loving Mother Deborah Carter of Union, MS and Father Clyde Mims of Moss Point, MS, three

children Destiny Griffin, Dristen Carter and Dalia Chapman of Union, MS. Two sister Mignon

Johnson (Robert) of Union, MS, Tiffany Boyce of Moss Point, MS, and One brother Cardarero Kelly

of New Port News, VA. Special nieces, Malia and Madalann Yarbrough of Union, MS. Special Aunt

aka “granny -granny Bonnie Calloway of Jackson, MS, Special Uncle Pat (Tracy) Patterson of New Port

News, VA, Special cousin Ronald Viverette (Pascagoula, MS), Daphne Viverette (Moss Point, MS),

Robin Calloway ( Jackson, MS) A host of devoted Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, relatives, Special close

friends and friends to cherish her memories.
