Kimberly Mechelle Triplett

Dr. Kimberly Mechelle Triplett, Ph.D., 44, of Louisville, Mississippi, passed on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at the Winston County Medical Center, Louisville, MS. Funeral Service will be Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 11 a.m., from Beck Funeral Home, with burial in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery. Kimberly attended the Winston County Public School System, graduating from Louisville High School in 1993. She then earned both her bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Masters of Education in Reading and literacy from Mississippi University for Women. She continued her education earning an Educational Specialist from the University of Mississippi and a Doctor of Philosophy from Mississippi State University. She first taught Elementary School in Oxford, MS., before working with the Barksdale Reading Institute. Kimberly accepted Christ at an early age joining Friendship Baptist Church, Louisville, MS. Later, after moving from Louisville, she joined Rock Hill United Methodist Church. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

She is survived by her parents, Willie and Joycie Triplett; brothers, Terrence and Keafer;Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
