Orene Gibson, 81, of Union, Mississippi passed on Friday, January 28, 2022 from her residence in Newton County, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2022 from Beck Funeral Home Chapel in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill M.B. Church Cemetery in Collinsville, Mississippi. Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. - 12:45 P.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia. Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Orene Gibson enjoyed planting flowers and cleaning in the yard. She loved to go site seeing on the weekends to look at the beautiful yards and to get away from the house. Her hobby was to collect various items and save up coins in jugs. She like listening to the radio of some of her favorite blues singers. What she loved most was her grandchildren. They gave her so much joy and a reason to keep going day to day. Mrs. Gibson was family oriented and she never met a stranger. She would help just about anyone especially when they are trying to better themselves. Mrs. Gibson was loved by so many near and far. She will be greatly missed from her Gibson Family.

Mrs.Giboson is survived by one daughter, Patty Loper of Union, MS and one son R.L. Gibson of Union, MS; ten grandchildren and twenty four great grand children; three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers are Tony Harris, Johnnie Gibson, Austin Pinkston, Quincy Larkin, Justin Campbell, and Davis Thames.
