Sarah Ruth Johnson

Sarah Ruth Johnson, 80,  of Philadelphia, MS passed on Sunday, May 25, 2025  from her residence in Neshoba County, Mississippi.   A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family. 

Mrs. Sarah Johnson joined Providence Church at an early age. She attended school in Leake County, Mississippi.

Mrs. Sarah joined in marriage to Willie Wells, Jr., to this union seven children; Bridgett Talley of Camarillo, CA, Earl Eugene Talley of Philadelphia, MS, Charmin Stamps of Killeen Texas, Tammy Caldwell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Willie Well Jr., of Lucedale, MS, Sherry Wells of Canton, MS, Pamela Wells of Philadelphia, MS; Twenty Six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Burkes of Pascagoula, MS, Diane McCoy of California, Holis R. Smith of Forest, MS, Joyce Mae Cannon, Bertha Sherrod, Beverly Stewart all of Gautier, MS.

Mrs. Sarah Johnson is preceded in death by her father and mother Eugene and Remoler Stewart. she is also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.

Later in in life Mrs. Sarah married Mr. Darrell L. Johnson in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Years later she moved back to Mississippi when her health began to fail.
