Thorlyn Carter Lewis, 69, of Philadelphia, Mississippi passed on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Neshoba County, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 22, 2020 from Morrow Cemetery in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Visitation will be held 9:15 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 22, 2020 from Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia. Beck Funeral Home Philadelphia is in charge of all arrangements.

Thorlyn Carter Lewis was the child born to the late Howard Carter and Oda Dee Carter. Her sister Mary Ann, brother Austin and husband Johnny preceded her in death.

Thorlyn completed high school at George Washington High School, after high school she furthered her education at Mississippi Valley State University. She was a member of Providence M.B. Church. She worked diligently with the Sunday School, Church Choir, Missionary Society, and finance room. She loved to sew, travel shop and manicuring her flowers.

Thorlyn Carter Lewis is survived by one daughter Antawyon "Coco" Stewart, three grandchildren Jamarious, Jamarkus, & Jakayla; a special niece, Terisita "Teewee" Carter, whom she reared from infancy; siblings Gloria Carter Hadley and Norman A. ( Prenora) Carter) Carter, sister in love, Angela Carter sister/cousin, Geneane McDonald and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral homes have been advised to keep visitations, funerals and memorial services to the smallest gathering of immediate family members only. By orders of the Governor. Please keep these families in your prayers.
