Verlean Dawkins, 75, of Louisville, Mississippi, passed on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Louisville Health Care Center, Louisville, MS. Funeral Service will be Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2 p.m., from Little Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Louisville, MS.  Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville in charge of arrangements.

Verlean was born to the parents of George Hawthorne and Nora B Haynes Hawthorne on August 4, 1949 in Winston County Mississippi. 

Mrs. Dawkins was preceded in death by; parents, husband, Edgar Lee (Sam) Dawkins; daughter, Mary Alice; son, Larry Dawkins; sister; Dianne Hawthorne. 

She is survived by ; children; Gloria Ann (David) Hord, Jerry Lee (Kathleen) Hawthorne, Kendreick (Brandy) Dawkins, Lorraine (Kearny) Combs, Evelyn (Ronnie) Dodd, Dewayne Dawkins and Aaron (Sandra) Dawkins; siblings, Margret Tucker, John L. (Emma) Hawthorne, Lueretha Glass, Frances (Robert) Hannah, Leroy Hawthorne, Howard Hawthorne, Robert Hawthorne, Aaron Tyrone Hawthorne and Rosie Carter; 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.
