Wendell A. McGee

Wendell A. McGee, 72, of Chicago, IL., passed on Monday, August 24, 2026 in Illinois. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Mount Salem M. B. Church, 320 Dido Mount Salem Road, Ackerman, MS. 39339. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home of Weir will be in charge of arrangements.

Wendell was born June 4, 1954, in Greenwood, MS., to the parents of Dorothy Jean Bleavings and Fredrick McGee.

Wendell accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mount Salem Baptist Church, Ackerman, MS. His faith became an important part of his life and remained a source of strength throughout his journey.

Wendell leaves to cherish his memory his children; Kioto (Ronalda), Shanoil, Dashaun, Erica, Patric, Danielle, Brandon, and Keeyon; grandchildren, Danielle, Daniel, Darnell, Claudia, Kioto, Jr., Kenyatta, Catrell, Monique, Greg, Jasmine, Courvoisier, Sir Cornelius II, Sir Walter l, Sir Emmett-Lee l, Da'Shunae, Dorian, Zamarion, Jenahsis, Zayden, La'Daiyjah, Za'Nia, K'aliyah, K'amari, and Ky'anna; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and family.
